ROS Technology visited the River Tyne at Wylam, Northumberland, to deliver two NETSAFE Portable acoustic deterrent devices to Salmon and Trout Conservation Northumbria.
The group had already trialled the device on the river for several months to protect salmon from seal predation, and were happy enough with the results to buy two units. On the day the system was deployed briefly, although there were no seals around to put it to the test.
The visit was attended by Phil Adams, John Teasdale and Paul Macchiarelli. The team will deploy the systems early next year and share their feedback with us.
Peter is a pleasure to work with and his expertise and easy manner were major factors in making this project a success.
John Teasdale, Chairman, Wylam Angling Club
