NETSAFE Portable

ROS Technology Ltd is a long established, technology company that specialises in design and manufacture of bespoke electronic systems. NETSAFE is one of their aquaculture range pf products. They company has a long involvement with aquaculture and has designed a wide range of acoustic deterrents.

NETSAFE is a mobile acoustic system designed to deter seals and sea loins in a wide range of underwater situations.

NETSAFE uses proven acoustic technology which has been deployed worldwide and has been proven effective across Europe and South America with many species of seals and sea lions. The system uses a robust, underwater projector (fitted with 25m of Kevlar reinforced cable) to emit a omnidirectional sound which seals and sea lions will find uncomfortable at anything inside the systems 40m effective range.

A novel feature of NETSAFE is the built in long life battery. They system unit unit features a fully sealed housing which can be immersed to a depth of up to 60m. This allows NETSAFE to be mounted on a submerged installation. Whilst underwater, the unit can be connected to the surface via an umbilical which allows the user to communicate with the unit and keep the battery charged. Alternatively the unit can be deployed without the umbilical and it will run from its internal battery pack.

Monitoring and control is provided by phone app (iPhone and Android) or from a web based dashboard. A compact hand held remote control allows basic Start/Stop features.

NETSAFE is ideal for a wide range of applications including commercial fishing (jig fishing, long lining, trawling, fixed net), sport fishing, temporary aquaculture use (during net changes, grading, harvest) or in offshore construction.
